putting a group together. It is free and meets once a

There are a number
of conventions and game days that occur in San Diego and
Southern California area.
StrategiconThis is the largest gaming convention in Southern
California. It occurs three times a year during
President's Day weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, and Labor
Day Weekend. The convention has ton of rpgs as well as
miniature gaming, board games, and card games. Gam3r-ConGam3rCon is an event (July 11-15) adding to the landscape of
activities available for the participants of Comic Con
coming and anyone else in the area. Gam3rCon will
celebrate the tradition of interactive entertainment from
the earliest traditions of dice and cards, to the latest
innovations in digital interactive experiences. Hyphen-ConThis is rpg-sandigo.org's annual game day which occurs
every Spring. An entire day of gaming with games submitted
and then chosen by forum members. This years will be on March 31st. Kingdom-ConA young gaming con that occurs in the Spring. It is growing and plans on having more rpgs
in addition to the miniature and boardgames they've had in
the past. |
There are a number of game stores in San Diego. Game Empire7051 Clairemont Mesa Ave Suite 306 Has a decent selection of games including D&D, White Wolf, Shadowrun, Star Wars and Savage Worlds and a few other popular titles. The also have a healthy selection of used rpgs. There is plenty of gaming tables and they also sell snacks. Villainous Lair Games3342 Adams Ave A nice little store that just opened in Normal Heights across the street from Lestats. They have a small but decent selection of rpgs. Product is set against the walls while game tables are set up in the middle which could make it difficult to browse during major events. The area has a nice flavor and staff are friendly. Game Town3954 Harney Street Great location in Old Town San Diego. They carry a lot of different rpgs including D&D, d20 and White Wolf. They have a few gaming tables that are in the back room. At Ease Games12373 Poway Road Great store with a selection of both used and new rpgs. There is a lot of space for instore gaming and the staff is friendly and helpful. Pair A Dice2020 Hacienda Dr Suite N A nicely layed out store up in North County with a healthy selection of old and new rpgs and collectable miniatures in packs and singles. Includes a game room and events. |
